Module 1 (South) of 4, Healing Soul Loss
February 19th – 23rd 2020
With Howard Malpas & Leo Rutherford
On this module we will face the South, – the past, the inner child, the emotional body, water, and the qualities of trust and innocence. The past is the wellspring of the present and holds both the gifts and the burdens we carry forward in our lives.
There are many levels to this work so those who have done it can benefit greatly from continuing.
Our movement to the South is to enable healing of lost parts of ourselves, lost vitality, life force, potency, confidence, joy – to find deep happiness in being our full self. Soul loss is part of life when challenges, traumas happen and we do not have the inner power to deal with them. Grief is a result of this and a grief ceremony will be part of the work.
When we look to the past, we look to all of it which includes any influence of past lives on the present. We work with journeys, stories, ceremonies, movement and dance.
Our primary guide is the Medicine Wheel. It is a mandala of power and knowledge, a way of understanding life framed in a circle. It teaches of our connection to all things and shows us our way back to Centre, our way home.
The Medicine Wheel is not a belief system but a way to see and comprehend life clearly, a series of mandalas to help understand the structure of life and see how one action causes another. It teaches how to steer a good heart-full road through life’s many challenges.
