The Twenty Count – A Myth of Creation
The 20 Count is also known as the Children’s Count as it was once upon a time the way children were taught to count.
Everything begins with the zero, the no-thingness. Then one is the sun and the element of fire (East), two is the earth, the element of earth and the mineral kingdom (West), one plus two makes three which is the plant kingdom and the element of water. (South) Add one more and we get four, the element of air and the animal kingdom. (North) Add again and we get five, the human kingdom.
(Centre) The teaching goes on and gets more complex and informative and becomes a basis for understanding much of the substance of life on earth. All the numbers can be added, subtracted, multiplied and divided and provide deeper knowledge on the meanings of each direction. This is the content of the course and it will bring much to consciousness and stimulate much thought leading to knowledge of how the Universe works.
There is no clear knowing of just where this system of knowledge originally came from. Leo says –
“I have heard Central America but I have also been told that it came to there from the Buddhist influenced lands of the East.
One thing for sure is that its history goes back a long way.”

More about Leo Rutherford
Leo Rutherford shares his life journey from managing director of a manufacturing company – leading over twelve years to suffering a mid-life stress crisis – to finding his way to California and a journey through therapy. This led to his MA in Holistic Psychology through which he connected with shamanism which changed his life radically. In 1987, Leo founded the Eagle’s Wing Centre for Contemporary Shamanism here in UK.
Leo shares the origin of the term Shamanism and what this actually means, its way of understanding how things are, how we live within creator, great spirit and great mystery. Read more about Shamanism here.
Leo has published five books, his first in the mid 1990s – Principles of Shamanism. Following the success of this book Leo went on to write – The View Through the Medicine Wheel, Shamanic Path Workbook, Spirituality versus Religion and The Book of Games and Warm-ups for Group Leaders.

How long is this course in total?
The videos/audios amount to approx. 7.5 hours. This course is focused on being ‘experimental learning’. Which means an important part of the teaching is to take action, ‘do the exercises’ and to observe your internal reactions. There are 22 guided shamanic journeys for you to complete and process the reflections and insights that may surface. We highly recommend giving time and space for the insights of the journey to percolate after each journey. To listen for shamanic messages in the next few days before completing the next journey. The course can be as long or as short as you want depending on what you put into the process and what you wish to have as a result. This course can open different layers of your consciousness and enable you to connect to greater powers of creation and understanding, if you choose.

Do I need any prior experience of Shamanism?
No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to be open to explore your inner thoughts, feelings and memories.
